Zambia is making big moves again.
Fast-rising star Mr Crown — the hitmaker behind the viral single “Don’t Go Away” — has officially secured a major deal with Sony Music Entertainment Africa.
Known as “The Buffalo,” Mr Crown has been steadily building momentum, but this latest move takes things to another level. His breakout hit featuring Yo Maps dominated social media, especially on TikTok, and went on to amass over 7 million views on YouTube.
“Don’t Go Away” became more than just a song — it turned into an online wave, with fans across platforms creating dance and lip-sync content that pushed the track even further.
With Sony now backing him, the “Zambia Ku Chalo” vision is becoming a reality.
Sony Music Africa confirmed the signing on Facebook, welcoming Mr Crown to its growing roster and hinting at more music to come.
The deal opens doors to global exposure, bigger collaborations, and international platforms. Notably, Mr Crown currently stands as the only Zambian artist signed to Sony Music Africa.
This milestone is not just a personal win — it reflects the growing recognition of Zambian talent on the global stage. As Mr Crown continues to rise, his journey signals a new chapter for the country’s music industry.
