Big news for job seekers in the health sector 👀
Government has confirmed that the list of 2,000 newly recruited health workers will be released in the next 14 days.
According to Health Minister Alex Katakwe, the recruitment process is almost done, with final procedures being completed before the official names are made public.
Speaking to ZNBC News in Solwezi, Dr. Katakwe also revealed that even more opportunities are coming, as Government plans to recruit an additional 2,500 health workers in 2026 — depending on available funding.
💬 “We are just waiting for Treasury authority to proceed,” he said.
The move is part of Government’s push to improve healthcare services, especially in rural and underserved areas where staff shortages are still a major challenge.
Meanwhile, North-Western Province Health Director Luckson Chidikita says the new recruitment will significantly boost staffing levels in the region.
